"Jewels of Nature"  was inspired by plein air studies done while kayaking
at Sanibel Island on the west coast of Florida.  The color of Roseate Spoonbills
is greatly influenced by their diet.  The more pink shrimp they eat
the pinker they become.  Be careful!  Do not confuse these short legged birds
with the very long legged Flamingo of south Florida.
